NFT is an acronym for “non-fungible token.” “Non-fungible” means that the asset is unique and cannot be replaced with something else. For example, Ether (the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain) is fungible – trade one for another Ether, and you have the exact same thing. A one-of-a-kind trading card, however, is non-fungible – if you traded it for a different card, you’d have something completely different. A NFT, therefore, is a unique, one-of-a-kind asset that exists on a digital blockchain. There are different blockchains, though most NFTs are part of the Ethereum blockchain.
NFTs can be, well, almost anything, digital – like drawings, music, computer-generated imagery, as examples. To put it in terms of physical art or trading card collecting: anyone can buy a Picasso painting. But only one person can own the original. In a few short years, NFTs have disrupted the collectors’ experience and thrusted it into the future, and they have their attention; in the last year, some of the most sought-out NFTs have been auctioned at Christie’s and Sotheby’s.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
