About
Description

Patrick Roy is a Canadian hockey icon through and through. Growing up in Quebec, the Hall of Famer wanted to be a goaltender starting at the age of seven. After rising through the ranks in Pee-Wee leagues and the QMJHL, Roy was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens. With a successful career so far that had already included three Stanley Cup wins, two Conn Smythe Trophy wins, and three Vezina Trophy wins, Roy was selected to represent Team Canada in the 1998 Olympics. Although Team Canada fell just short of winning a medal, Roy still performed at a high level in his lone Olympic appearance. With a 4-2 record, the superstar goaltender only allowed 1.46 goals against per game while recording a .935 save percentage and completed a shutout in the tournament. Roy would go on to finish out his successful career with another Stanley Cup win and Conn Smythe Trophy and is still regarded as one of the greatest goaltenders of all time. He has since been inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame among many other honors.

This puck is autographed by Patrick Roy with a silver paint pen. Roy’s signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck Authenticated representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
